IIM Calcutta has extended the registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 till September 20

The Common Admission Test (CAT) will be conducted on November 24, 2024 for admissions to 21 IIMs and other Management colleges

As per the official website, the CAT admit card will be available for download from November 5, 2024 onwards

CAT exam consists of 3 sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), Quantitative Aptitude Section (QA)

Last year, a total of 66 questions were asked in the CAT exam, out of which 48 were MCQs while 18 were Type in the Answer (TITA) questions

Section-wise distribution of questions in last year’s CAT exam was as follows: 24 questions from VARC, 20 questions from DILR and 22 questions from QA

In the CAT exam, 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer. 1 mark is deducted for incorrect response in case of MCQs while no marks are deducted in TITA type questions

Candidates appearing for the CAT exam must understand the exam pattern including the number of questions and the marking scheme for effective preparation
