Yenepoya University is a deemed university located in Mangalore,Karnataka, India. Established in 2008. The University was established by the Islamic Academy of Education—a not-for-profit trust founded in 1991 by entrepreneur Mr. Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi. The trust is committed to the upliftment of minorities, especially the Muslim community, and began its educational journey with the launch of Yenepoya Dental College in 1992.The University offers both online and offline courses and is known for its variety of courses. 

The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and certification programs across various health and allied sciences. It has a NAAC “A” grade accreditation with a CGPA of 3.14 (2015) and high rankings including 95th in NIRF (2016) and 3rd among young universities in Karnataka by K-SURF.

The Y-ENTRANCE is an entrance examination conducted by Yenepoya University to select candidates for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.The examination is designed to assess aptitude, critical reasoning, subject knowledge, and English proficiency. It is conducted in online mode.

Yenepoya University P.hD admissions

Yenepoya (Deemed-to-be University) provides Ph.D. courses in all disciplines like Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Management, Social Sciences, and others. Admission takes place twice a year in January and July. The candidate should have a master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved candidates). Shortlisting is done on a university-level entrance test and then on viva voce. Candidates with valid NET/JRF/GATE/M.Phil. qualifications are exempted from the entrance examination. The entrance examination includes MCQs for Research Methodology and Subject-specific material, and the candidates have to achieve 50% in order to be eligible. The final merit list is calculated with 70% weightage to the examination and 30% to the interview. Ph.D. course duration varies from 3 to 6 years, with extensions as per UGC norms.
