The JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), which has formerly operated as JSS University, is a prime Deemed-to-be University in Mysuru, Karnataka. JSS AHER was set up as a Deemed-to-be University in 2008 by the prestigious JSS Mahavidyapeeth.The main campus is located in the heritage city of Mysuru, Karnataka with an additional campus in Ootacamund (Ooty), Tamil Nadu. 

JSS AHER has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and has also been accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade (CGPA 3.61). JSS AHER has also been graded as a Category-I deemed University by UGC. JSS AHER University P.hD admissions 2025

The JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER) provides Ph.D. programs in disciplines including Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, and Public Health. Participants must possess a Master's degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% (50% for reserved categories). Admission into the Ph.D. program is based on a Ph.D. Entrance Test (DPET) followed by an interview, although candidates holding UGC/CSIR NET (JRF), M.Phil., or teaching fellowships may be exempt from the DPET (the details can be found on the website). The Ph.D. program also emphasizes research originality and interaction with the supervisor. The candidate may receive provisional admission after evaluation during DPET and/or the interview. The candidate will receive confirmation of enrolment (full admission) after payment of required fees and verification of submission of necessary documents.
