MTech (Mechanical Engineering)
The MTech - Mechanical Engineering is a two year master’s programme offered by the IIT Indore. A BTech degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks or 6.0 CGPA on 10 point scale is the minimum qualification required for admission to the MTech at IIT Indore. Additionally, Candidates aspiring to get admitted to the masters programme in engineering and technology must have appeared for the GATE examination and registered to COAP for the counselling process.
Eligibility:
- Students must have a valid GATE score
- They are also required to participate in COAP Counselling
- The minimum eligibility for IIT Indore MTech is a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with at least 60 percent marks
Fees:
- The tuition fee for the M.Tech program at the IIT indore is INR 5,000 per semester.
- Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from the tuition fee.

The tuition fee for the MTech programme at IIT Indore is INR 5000 per semester. Candidates must note that this fee does not include one time payments, security deposits to be paid at the time of the admission and other semester charges for the masters programme in engineering at IIT Indore. Candidates willing to apply for the MTech admissions at IIT Indore must have a four year bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology. They must have secured at least 60 percent marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in BTech. A valid GATE score is also mandatory for the selection process. Further, the counselling for the MTech programme is based on the common counselling process, COAP.
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category must have secured at least 55 percent marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale for MTech Admissions at IIT Indore.
