The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has officially released the VITEEE 2026 notification, confirming that the online registration process for the engineering entrance examination is ongoing at viteee.vit.ac.in. The last date to apply for the VITEEE 2026 is March 31, 2026. This year, VITEEE exam is scheduled from April 28 to May 3, 2026 at designated centres across India. The exam serves as a gateway to B.Tech programs in VIT-Vellore, VIT-Chennai, VIT-Bhopal, and VIT-AP campuses, and is one of the most sought after entrance tests for engineering aspirants worldwide.

In the VITEEE registration process, the candidates will have to provide their basic details and generate a password for login. Next, the required personal, academic and contact information has to be submitted through the online application form of VITEEE 2026. After uploading the scanned documents, the candidates will have to pay the application fee of INR 1,350 online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card for the VITEEE 2026 exam.

VITEEE 2026 Application Form – Steps To Register

Candidates can check the steps below to register for VITEEE Exam 2026:

Step 1: Go to the vit.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the application form link

Step 3: Candidates will have to register using their basic details. The login password will be generated and sent to the candidate’s registered email address and mobile number.

Step 4: After logging in, the candidates will have to fill out their personal, academic and contact details. The exam cities also have to be selected in order of preference.

Step 5: Candidates will have to pay the application fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.

Step 6: Finally, the candidates will have to upload their scanned passport-size photograph and signature.

VITEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before registration, the candidates are advised to check the official VITEEE eligibility criteria. If the candidates are unable to meet the required eligibility criteria, then they will not be considered for VIT admissions.

Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE 2026 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2026, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

  • The final examination of the Class 12 system of the Higher Secondary Examination, i.e., conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), and the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE), New Delhi.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised Board/ University.
  • Candidates who have studied Regular, Full Time and Formal education are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE 2026 paper should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
