The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is preparing to release the provisional answer key for the 2025 Provincial Civil Services (PCS) prelims examination in the coming days. The commission conducted the preliminary examination on October 12, 2025 in two shifts throughout the state. The provisional answer key will include correct options for each question paper set , allowing candidates to match their response and estimate scores.

After the publication of the provisional answer key, UPPSC will open a window for objections from candidates. Following the objection period, the commission will review the challenges, make necessary revisions, and then issue the final answer key which will be used for preparing results.

UP PCS Prelims Answer Key 2025: Marking Scheme
The prelims exam is conducted for 400 marks in total The prelims exam consists of 2 mandatory papers. Both papers contain 150-100 objective types of questions. The total number of questions in Paper-1(General Studies) is 150 while paper II has 100 questions.
General Studies Paper-1
- Correct Answer: 1.33 marks
- Incorrect Answer: 0.33 marks deduction
General Studies Paper-II
- Correct answer: 2 marks
- Incorrect answer: 0.67 marks deduction
