The University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) Result 2025 is now live on February 4, 2026, on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can find the link to download their scorecards at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can access their results by entering their required login credentials in the login portal. The UGC NET result is released in the form of a scorecard containing certain important details. According to the UGC NET cut-off, the general category’s minimum qualifying mark is 40%, while the reserved category’s minimum qualifying mark is 35%. The UGC NET 2025, conducted by the NTA, was held from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. This exam is conducted twice a year, once in June and again in December. Candidates can access their UGC NET Result 2025 for the December Session at the official website. They will require the application number, date of birth, and security pin (case sensitive). The steps mentioned below can be followed to download the scorecards.

Step 2. On the homepage, click on the link that reads ‘UGC NET Result 2025’.
Step 3. Enter the details as asked and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 4. The UGC NET Result 2025 will be displayed on the screens.

UGC NET 2025 Result December Session: Check list of details

UGC NET 2025 Result: Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates are required to have a certain minimum number of marks to qualify for the UGC NET. Refer to the table below for the minimum qualifying marks.

The UGC NET cut-off is released after the announcement of results. It must be noted that the candidates who score above the minimum cut-off scores will be considered qualified.
After candidates download their e-certificates, Assistant Professor qualifiers must keep an eye on university job portals for Assistant Professor vacancies, as they verify NET qualification during recruitment. For JRF qualifiers, they must download their award letter and e-certificates, and pursue a PhD/research with a fellowship. Those who have qualified for both are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor positions as well.
