The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the UGC NET December 2025 notification on its official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. This highly awaited announcement confirms that online registration for the UGC NET December session starts from today, October 7, 2025, and will end on November 7, 2025. The UGC NET exam serves as a gateway for aspiring candidates seeking eligibility for Assistant Professor posts and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges
This year, NTA has kept two paper formats intact. Candidates who are interested can apply for UGC NET exam for December session 2025 on the official website at ugcnet.ac.in. The UGC NET application form for December exam 2025 should be submitted by the candidates before the deadline. A correction window will also be opened for the candidates after the registration period to allow candidates to make edits to their application form.
UGC NET December 2025 Application Form: Steps to Download
NTA has released the UGC NET application form for December session 2025 on the official website. Candidates can check the steps given below to register for the exam:
Step 1: Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the ‘application Form’ link mentioned at the bottom of the homepage.
Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registration’.
Step 4: Enter the required details.
Step 5: Fill out the complete application form
Step 6:Upload scanned passport size photo and signature and both the images should be in JPEG format.
Step 7: Pay the UGC NET application fee
Step 8:Save and submit the form
Step 9: Download the confirmation page.

UGC NET December 2025 Exam Pattern
The UGC NET exam consists of two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of the UGC NET exam is three hours. Both papers contain objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
