The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is likely to publish the provisional answer key for the Group 2 preliminary examination 2025 in the first/second week of October 2025. This follows the exam conducted on September 28, 2025, for various administrative posts under the Combined Civil Services Examination-II (CCSE-II). The provisional answer key will contain the correct answers to each question set. TNPSC will also activate an objection window during which candidates can raise challenges against specific answers. After reviewing valid representations, a final answer key will be published, which will serve as the basis for scoring and results declaration. 

The answer key release is vital for aspirants to verify their responses, estimate their performance and identify possible errors before results are announced. Thousands of aspirants appeared to compete for 645 vacancies across categories including revenue inspector, audit roles, forest services and more. With the TNPSC Group 2 exam now concluded, all eyes are on the release of the official answer key, which will allow candidates to evaluate their performance and challenge any discrepancies.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link titled “Answer key”

Step 3: Search for “Combined Civil Service Examination-II” and click on it

Step 4:The official TNPSC Group 2 answer key 2025, along with the correct response will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download the answer key and save it for future references.

TNPSC Group 2 Answer Key 2025 Marking Scheme 

The TNPSC Group 2 Preliminary examination was conducted for 200 objective questions carrying a total of 300 marks. Each correct answer is awarded with 1.5 marks, and there is no negative marking for the wrong answers. The question paper consisted of 75 questions in General Studies followed by 25 questions of Aptitude and Mental Ability and lastly 100 questions of General Tamil or General English.

Correct answers: +1.5 marks

Incorrect answers: No negative marking

Total: 300 

Steps to Raise Objections Against the Answer Key 

If any candidate finds discrepancies in the answer key, TNPSC provides a window to raise objections, candidates can follow the procedure given below to raise the objection:

Step 1: Candidates have to use their credentials to access their account.

Step 2: Provide details such as recruitment exam name, registration ID, Application number, date of birth and subject and question number 

Step 3: Choose the correct answer option

Step 4: Mention the objection reason in the remarks columns

Step 5: Candidates must attach the relevant document as a proof.
