TNEA General Counselling 2025: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has started the general counselling 2025 for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA). The choice filling for vocational candidates begins on July 14, 2025. The last day for the choice filling is August 19, 2025. Candidates who secured a rank in the TNEA 2025 Merit List are eligible for this general counselling round 2025. The TNEA 2025 general counselling round will be conducted in three different phases. TNEA 2025 counselling will be of three types: general counselling, supplementary counselling, and SCA to SC counselling.
TNEA General Counselling 2025: How to Register
The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2025 has commenced the general counselling today. Candidates who secured a rank are eligible for the TNEA Counselling 2025. To register for the counselling, 2025 candidates can follow the step-by-step guide given below:

- Click on “Login” on the top right side of the page.
- Enter your login credentials – user ID and password.
- Fill in the colleges and courses as per your preference.
- Now, you are successfully registered for the counselling process.
TNEA General Counselling 2025: Other Details
The TNEA 2025 general counselling for open category applicants will start on July 14 for candidates having ranks from 1 to 39,145 (scores 200 to 179). Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria have to fill in their choices between July 14 and 16 on the official website. The provisional seat allotment will be announced on July 17, and candidates have to accept or reject their allotment between July 17 and 18 to move to the next phase of TNEA counselling 2025.
After confirming the tentative allotments, the final allotment letters will be sent out on July 19, 2025. Allotted candidates need to report to the TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) and attend the joining formalities from July 19 to 23, 2025. Candidates who want to upgrade their seats will have a chance to upgrade, and for those candidates, upgraded allotment letters will be issued on July 26, 2025. The process of TNEA Counselling is finalised to make seat allotment fair and transparent on the basis of merit, and the candidates are requested to comply with each step of the calendar diligently in order not to miss any important deadlines.
