TN TET Registration 2025 Started for 1966 vacancies; Check Tamil Nadu TET School Teacher Eligibility

TN TET 2025 applications are now live for 1,996 vacancies. Candidates can apply till August 12. Check detailed eligibility criteria for Paper I (Classes 1–5) and Paper II (Classes 6–8), qualifying marks, age requirements, and education qualifications.

The registrations for the TN TET 2025 exam have begun for 1,996 seats, including Graduate Teachers and BRTEs. TN TET applications are open until August 12 at 5 PM via the official portal. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the Tamil Nadu TET Exam 2025 can apply for the exam. TN TET eligibility criteria are divided between the general eligibility requirements and the educational qualification required. Applicants must meet both requirements to appear for the exam. TN TET exam dates 2025 are yet to be announced. It is expected that the TN TENT exam will be conducted in October 2025.

TN TET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Tamil Nadu TET general and educational eligibility are as follows –

General Eligibility

  1. Candidate must be minimum 18 years of age; No upper age limit
  2. Unlimited Attempts, no prior teaching experience required
  3. Applicant must have Indian citizenship.

Education Qualification

TN TET exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students must meet the following requirement –

Paper I (Classes I–V)

  1. HS + 2‑year D.El.Ed with ≥ 50% (or ≥ 45% if NCTE‑regulated)
  2. HS + 4‑year B.El.Ed (≥ 50%)
  3. HS + 2‑year Diploma in Special Education (≥ 50%)
  4. Graduation + 2‑year D.El.Ed
  5. Graduation (≥ 50%) + B.Ed

Note – Candidates appearing in the final year of any above courses also allowed

Paper II (Classes VI–VIII)

  1. Graduation + 2‑year D.El.Ed
  2. Graduation (≥ 50%) + B.Ed
  3. Graduation (≥ 45%) + NCTE‑regulated B.Ed
  4. HS + 4‑year B.El.Ed (≥ 50%)
  5. HS + 4‑year B.A./B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed (≥ 50%)
  6. Graduation (≥ 50%) + B.Ed (Special Ed)

Note – NCTE-approved B.Ed graduates are also eligible
