SSC CGL Exam 2025 Re-Exam on October 14 and Tentative Answer Key to be Released on October 15

The Staff Selection Commission has announced a re-examination for the SSC CGL 2025 on October 14, 2025, only for the candidates impacted by the disruptions.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has formally scheduled a re-examination for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2025 exam on October 14, 2025, specifically for the candidates whose exams were disrupted by the Mumbai Fire incident on September 26, 2025. The exams for all the other centres have been concluded. About 28 lakhs candidates applied for this exam, out of which 13.5 lakhs candidates appeared in it, which was held at 255 centres spread over 126 cities in 45 shifts over 15 days. 

Alongside the announcement of the SSC CGL re-exam, the commission confirmed that the tentative answer key will be published on October 15, 2025, along with the answer key objection window will also be open. Candidates can review the answer key and submit online representations, if any, within the time limit with a payment of Rs. 100 per question, which is non-refundable. 

What are the New Measures Introduced for the SSC CGL Exam 2025?

Given below are the new methods introduced by the commission for the SSC CGL exam 2025 so that the exam is smoothly concluded:

  • SSC, piloted laptop based testing successfully with thousands of candidates, making a shift from traditional method.
  • Exams were conducted in a new location. Around 93% of candidates were allotted centres in one of the cities opted by them also concerns about question quality were reviewed and right steps have been taken.
  • Aadhar authentication was deployed across the examination process to strengthen identity verification.

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in

Step 2: On the home page click on the title “ SSC CGL 2025 answer key”

Step 3: Candidates must enter their credentials such as registration number and date of birth.

Step 4: The answer key along with the individual response sheet will be available on the screen.

Step 5: Candidates  must download the answer key and take a print out for the future reference. 

Candidates appearing for the SSC CGL 2025 re-examination are advised to keep track of all the official communication on the SSC website and adhere strictly to the instructions regarding exam timings and required documents.
