The State Bank of India (SBI) is set to close the application window for the recruitment of 6,589 clerk (Junior Associate Customer Support and Sales) positions across its branches nationwide. Today, August 26, 2025, is the last date to apply online via the official website sbi.co.in. This recruitment drive is a great opportunity for graduates looking to join India’s largest public sector bank. The notification was released on August 5, 2025, and the application window opened on August 6, 2025.

The SBI Clerk exam is conducted in two phases — Preliminary and Main examination followed by a language proficiency test (LPT). As per notification SBI Clerk prelims exams are expected to be conducted in September 2025. The main exams are expected to be conducted in November 2025.

SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) Eligibility Criteria

SBI Clerk eligibility criteria for candidates who want to apply:

 Exam Alert Plus
  • Candidates must hold a valid graduation degree (UG) in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the central government. 
  • Candidates in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply for the SBI clerk exam. If provisionally selected, they will be required to produce proof of having passed their graduation program.
  • SBI Clerk age limit is not below 20 years and not above 28 years, i.e the candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1997 and not later than 01.04.2005.
