RRB Group D Exam 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the examination schedule for the Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) exam on RRB’s official portal. The RRB Group D exam under CEN 08/ 2024 will be held for various posts in Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Computer-Based Test), for which the tentative exam dates are November 17, 2025, to the end of December 2025.
The RRB Group D exam is a national-level recruitment test conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) to fill Level 1 posts in Indian Railways, such as Track Maintainer, Pointsman, Assistant, and similar roles. Anyone who has passed Class 10 (Matriculation) and is aged between 18 and 36 years can apply for these positions.
The RRB Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) consists of 100 multiple-choice questions from four sections: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. The test lasts 90 minutes, and there is a penalty of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer. For every correct answer, candidates get one mark.

The link to check Exam City & Date and to download Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates will be available about 10 days before the exam on the official RRB website. The RRB Group D E-Call letters can be downloaded around four days before the exam date mentioned in the Exam City and Date link.
RRB Group D 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
As per the RRB Group D Exam 2025 guidelines:
- Aadhaar-based biometric verification will be done at the exam centre before entry.
- Candidates must carry their original Aadhaar card or a printout of the e-verified Aadhaar.
- Recruitment is done only through the Computer-Based Test (CBT), and selection depends only on merit.
- Candidates are advised not to trust touts or agents who make false promises of jobs in return for money. Only believe information from official RRB and other authentic sources.
Since the exam dates are now out, candidates are advised to remain updated for their forthcoming exams, city centre, and e-call letters; keeping in mind to only rely upon authentic sources and prepare accordingly.
