The Railway Recruitment Board is set to conduct the Group D recruitment exam 2025 starting November 27. The test takers are required to bring the printout of their RRB Group D 2025 Admit Card, along with a valid ID proof. The RRB Group D 2025 Admit Card, containing candidates’ roll number, exam city, date and shift, had earlier been released by the authority and is available to candidates via regional RRBs.
As many aspirants prepare for the RRB Group D 2025 exam, the RRB has also issued guidelines on free travel facilities, mandatory documentation, and a checklist of items to carry to the exam hall.
RRB Group D 2025: Documents Required at Exam Centre
- Admit Card: The printed copy of the admit card must be carried. It serves as the primary document for entry into the examination hall.
- Photo Identity Proof: Candidates must bring a valid, government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, voter ID, driving license, or other ID as allowed by RRB). The name on the admit card and the ID should match exactly.
- Passport-size Photographs: A copy of the photograph (same as uploaded during application) may be required — often pasted on attendance sheet or for verification.
- Stationery (if permitted): Bring a black/blue ball-point pen (or as specified by the RRB instructions on your admit card).
Prohibited items usually include electronics (mobile phone, smartwatch), books, notes, calculators, bags/purses (unless transparent or as per exam-day rules), and any other item not permitted by RRB.
RRB Group D Travel Facility 2025
Under the policy of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), eligible candidates may be offered free travel facility to appear for the examination — typically in the form of a second-class sleeper (or equivalent) railway pass/SL pass covering travel from the candidate’s address to the exam city and return, if their exam centre city is beyond a specified distance and depending on the category of the candidate. This facility is more commonly extended when RRB schedules physical tests (like document verification, physical efficiency test, etc) or if the exam city is far.
RRB has also clarified that the free travel facility is available only to SC/ST candidates who opted for it while filling out the online application form and uploaded valid caste certificates. Such candidates will receive a free Sleeper Class Railway Pass along with their E-call letters for the CBT, PET or DV, depending on the stage they are appearing for. The pass must be carried in print form along with the admit card and a valid photo ID during travel.
Candidates must note that if a candidate fail to carry the correct admit card or valid ID, they will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Similarly, carrying prohibited items can lead to disqualification or denial of entry.
Similarly, if the candidate was eligible for free travel but did not apply for or download the travel pass in advance, the RRB will treat them as ineligible for travel facility, meaning they must manage their own journey and bear the cost themselves.
