The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release official notification on JEE Main 2026 soon on its official website. JEE Main 2026 registration process will start in October 2025. In a recent notice, NTA has announced that the JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 application form will be available on the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in in the month of October 2025. As per reports, NTA has also activated the JEE Mains Registration 2026 demo link at demo.nta.nic.in.

The NTA conducts Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main in two sessions – Session 1 and 2. JEE Main 2026 session 1 will be scheduled in January 2026 while session 2 will be conducted in the month of April. Candidates who score in top 2,50,000 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates applying for the JEE Mains session 1 2026 must check the official website from time to time for the latest updates on the registration process.

JEE Mains 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The JEE Mains 2026 online application form for Session 1 will be out in October 2025. Candidates applying for the JEE Main 2026 must check the eligibility criteria form below.

  1. Age Limit – There is no age limit for the candidates appearing for the JEE Main examination. 
  2. Qualifying Examination – Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam in 2024/ 2025 from a recognized board. Candidates who will be appearing for the class 12 board exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply for the JEE Main 2026. 
  3. Subjects in Qualifying Exam – In class 12, candidates must have mandatorily passed in Physics and Mathematics and any one subject among Biology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational Subject.

JEE Main 2026 Registration: NTA Advisory

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised all the eligible candidates to update necessary documents well in advance before applying for the JEE Main 2026. The list of documents required for the JEE Main Registration 2026 are as follows:

  • Aadhaar Card – Candidates must have their Aadhaar Card updated with correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10th certificate), latest photograph, address and father’s name.
  • UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities) – UDID card is a national identity card for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in India. It serves as a single, universal document for identification and access to government benefits and schemes. UDID Card of the candidates in PwD category, must valid, updated and renewed as required.
  • Category Certificate – JEE Mains 2026 aspirants belonging to EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories must have their category certificates updated before applying for the exam.
