The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has declared the NIOS 12th Result 2025 for the October exam on their official portal – results.nios.ac.in on January 9, 2026. All the students who were pursuing their intermediate through open schooling can access or download their scorecard from the result website of NIOS 12th exam by simply providing their NIOS login details like their enrollment numbers and security pin. Around 1.7 lakh students had participated in the NIOS 12th Exam for the October session this year. If any student faces any problem or discrepancy in the published NIOS 12th Result 2025, they can directly report their issue within 30 days from the announcement of the result. Students can also apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheet within 15 days, as outlined in the guidelines of NIOS.

- Go to the official website of NIOS.
- Once the website opens, tap on the ‘Information About’ section on the homepage.
- Then go to the admission tab and click it.
- In the admission tab, click on the ‘Exams & Results’ button.
- After the page opens, click on the active link named ‘results’.
- In the login page that opens, students may enter their login detail which is their enrollment number.
- Enter the CAPTCHA code displayed on their screen.
- Tap submit after verifying the details.
- The next screen which opens will have students’s NIOS 12th Result 2025.
- Students may download the file using the download button and save or print it for future references.

NIOS 12th Exam October: Know all about the passing percentage
The NIOS Class 12 exam follows a structured method to help students pass in the exam. All the students satisfying the passing criteria laid by NIOS will be considered as passing and hence will be granted the intermediate passing certificates.

- Students must have five subjects in their NIOS 12th Exam out of which they can have at least 1 or at maximum 2 language papers.
- A student has to obtain a minimum of 30% score in their theory exam of each subject.
- A student has to obtain a minimum of 30% score in their practical exam of each subject.
- Students have to obtain a minimum aggregate score of 33% in their total score (theory + practical) of each subject.
- A student has to pass in each and every subject to be considered as ‘pass’ in their NIOS 12th Result 2025.
If any student fails to meet any one of these criteria, they will be considered as ‘not passed’ and will not be granted an intermediate certificate. The students have to reappear in the subject in which he or she has failed to successfully clear their NIOS 12th Class Exam. The number of attempts to pass a subject is not limited, students can give as many attempts as they want in the span of five years from their NIOS 12th Exam.
