The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 on February 8, 2026. The NEET UG registration window is open till March 8, 2026, according to the official notification. For admission to the undergraduate medical education in India through NEET, candidates must also read the NEET UG eligibility requirements carefully.
Candidates can apply for the NEET UG 2026 examination online on the NTA’s official website, neet.nta.nic.in.The NEET UG registration 2026 includes uploading of scanned images and documents, payment of fees, and generation of the ‘Confirmation Page’. Once an application is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn. Therefore, it is essential to read all instructions carefully before filling out the NEET UG 2026 application form.
NEET UG Registration 2026: Get Ready With Required Documents
Before filling the NEET UG 2026 application form, candidates must prepare for the following documents.
- Scanned images of recent passport size photograph (taken after January 1, 2026)
- Signature
- Left and right hand fingers and thumb impression
- Citizenship Certificate (if applicable)
- Social Category Certificate applied for application
- Class X Marksheet and Class X Passing Certificate (duly indicating DOB)
- PwBD/PwD Certificate (wherever applicable).
- Identity proof such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.

Note: All uploaded images should be in PDF/JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
Along with the above-mentioned documents, the information to be filled in the online application form, such as candidates’ name (with correct spelling), parents’ name, Aadhaar Card, Passport number, PAN card number, date of birth certificate, Class X and XII marksheets, address proof, mobile number, email ID, etc., should be kept ready.
NEET UG 2026 Step-by-step Application Process
Candidates must carefully read the instructions before applying for the NEET UG examination.
Step 1: Register for the online application form and note down the system-generated application number: Fill in the required details and create password. After successful submission of the personal details, application number will be generated. It is important to note down the application number. For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system-generated ‘Application Number’ and created ‘Password’.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form: The candidate can log in with the system-generated application number and pre-created password for completing the NEET UG application form, including filling up of personal details, choosing the question paper medium and examination cities, providing the details of educational qualifications, and uploading the images and documents. The candidate will also have to upload his/her live photograph.

Step 3: Fee Payment: Select Debit card/Credit card/UPI/Net Banking option to pay the application fee and follow the online instructions to complete the payment.

Candidates must ensure that the information entered by them in their NEET UG online application form is correct. After successful payment, a candidate will be able to print the ‘Confirmation Page’ of the online Application Form.
