NEET UG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round Eligibility
Candidates wishing to participate in the Final Stray Vacancy Round of NEET UG Counselling 2025 must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- They must have qualified in NEET UG 2025.
- Fresh registration on the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (www.mcc.nic.in) is required.
- Candidates should not currently hold or have joined any seat allotted in earlier counselling rounds.
- Those who were allotted a seat in Round 3 but did not report are not eligible.
- Candidates who accepted seats in Round 2 or Round 3 and joined are not allowed to resign to participate in this round.
- Only candidates fulfilling all these conditions can register and fill in their choices for the NEET UG counselling Stray vacancy round.
NEET UG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round Guidelines
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued key guidelines for the NEET UG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round as follows:
- New registration is mandatory; previous registrations cannot be reused.
- Fresh choice filling and locking are required.
- Seat allotment is strictly online and merit-based.
- Allotted seats must be reported and joined; failure to join leads to debarment from next NEET UG exam and loss of security deposit.
- Resignation after joining a ministry-allotted seat is not permitted.
- No manual allotments or nominations will be made.
- Candidates already allotted a seat under any state quota will be excluded to avoid duplication.
If a candidate is allotted a seat in the Stray Vacancy Round but fails to join the college, they will be banned from appearing in the next NEET UG exam cycle for one year and will lose their security deposit, if applicable.
