The second round of counselling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 examination begins today, August 21, 2025, as per the official schedule released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). This round is crucial for eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) courses across All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities, central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and ESIC institutes.

NEET UG Counselling Round 2: Who Can Participate?

  • Candidates who did not receive any seat allotment in Round 1 or did not join the allotted seats.
  • Fresh candidates eligible as per the NEET UG 2025 merit list can register for this round.
  • The counselling covers multiple categories, including AIQ (15%), deemed universities (100%), central universities, AIIMS, and ESIC seats.

The registration fee is Rs. 1,000 for General/OBC/EWS categories and Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. A refundable security deposit is required during registration—Rs. 10,000 for General/OBC/EWS and Rs. 5,000 for SC/ST/PwD.

NEET UG Counselling Eligibility Requirements and Seat Allocation

Admission under the NEET UG Counselling is strictly merit-based according to NEET UG 2025 ranks. Candidates must fulfil academic and medical eligibility criteria set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and respective institutions.
