NEET UG 2026 Re-exam Schedule Released: NTA to Conduct Re-test on June 21 After Paper Leak Row

As confirmed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET UG 2026 Re-exam will be conducted on June 21, 2026. The NTA has informed regarding the re-conduction of NEET UG 2026 exam through the official X handle. In his press conference, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced structural changes in NEET exam process. Starting from next year, the NEET UG will be conducted in a computer-based format. The decision comes just days after the May 3rd exam was scrapped following evidence of a coordinated paper leak. With the CBI now leading the investigation, the NTA has clarified that no fresh registrations are required and the previous application data will remain valid.

NTA in a post on X stated, “National Testing Agency (NTA), with the approval of the Government of India, has scheduled the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026.” A total of 22,75,011 students registered for the NEET UG 2026 exam, spanning 37 states & UTs. On May 11, Rajasthan’s Special Operations Group (SOG) informed that it is investigating the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 for an alleged leak. SOG has found a ‘guess paper’ with as many as 120 questions, which appeared in the actual examination, The Indian Express reported.

NEET UG 2026 Re-exam: Revised Schedule

The NTA has confirmed the revised exam date for NEET UG 2026 exam. The exam, which was held on May 3, was cancelled due to an alleged paper leak and an ongoing investigation by the CBI in this matter. Students can check the revised schedule for NEET UG 2026 Re-exam in the table below.

Re-NEET 2026 Exam: Revised Admit Card Date

As confirmed by the NTA earlier, no fresh registrations will be accepted by the agency for the NEET 2026 Re-exam. The city intimation slip and revised admit card will be issued by the board prior to the exam date. According to the revised schedule, the NEET UG Re-exam 2026 will be held on June 21, 2026. Students will be able to download NEET Admit Card 2026 by using their login credentials once released.

Along with this, the NTA will also refund the application fees to all students who have registered for the NEET 2026 exam.
