NEET UG 2026 Notification Out: Check Undergraduate medical exam date here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification for NEET UG 2026 on February 8, 2026. The NEET UG 2026 registration will commence from February 8, 2026 and end on March 8, 2026 (at 9:00 PM). The application process will only be conducted in online mode through the official website – neet.nta.nic.in. As per the notification, May 3, 2026, has been declared as the NEET UG 2026 exam date. The information bulletin consists of important details such as eligibility criteria and general instructions for the application form.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test is a national-level entrance examination conducted by NTA to grant admissions to prospective medical students in undergraduate medical courses such as  MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS) and other nursing programs. The NEET UG 2026 exam acts as a gateway to the leading medical institutes of India. Students who are planning to appear for this medical exam can submit their application forms before the end date.

NEET UG 2026 Notification: How to apply?

In accordance with the NEET UG 2026 Notification dated February 8, 2026, students can only apply for the exam in online mode. Follow the simple steps given below to successfully get yourself registered for the NEET Exam 2026. Candidates who are applying for the NEET UG 2026 for the first time, are required to Sign Up first. Following are the steps to complete your registration.

1. Go to the NEET UG 2026 official website – neet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the active link for ‘New Candidate Registrations’.
3. Read all the instructions and information mentioned on the page.
4. Submit all the asked details and create a password.

After the registration gets completed, a unique application number will be generated. Use this application and password that you created for future logins. Candidates who have already registered can submit their NEET UG Application form 2026 by following the steps provided below.

1. Login on the official website using your credentials i.e. application number and password.
2. All the details that the candidates filled during registration will already be filled in the application form. Note that these prefilled fields cannot be edited.
3. Fill all your personal, academic, additional information asked in your application form.
4. Review all the details before submitting it.
5. Proceed to the next section, where you will be required to submit all the documents.
6. Submit all the required documents in suggested format.
7. Pay the NEET UG 2026 application form fee in the prescribed transaction method. 
8. Click on ‘submit’ to submit your application form for NEET UG 2026.

Note that forms will only be accepted in online mode. Duplicate or multiple NEET UG 2026 registration will lead to its cancellation.

NEET UG 2026 Eligibility: Check qualifying criteria

Candidates should first go through all the bulletins mentioned in the NEET UG 2026 notification regarding the eligibility to know whether they are eligible for the exam or not. Following are some basic NEET UG 2026 eligibility criteria. 

1. The student should have completed his/her 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
2. The minimum marks required in the intermediate varies with the category to which the candidate belongs.

3. The candidate should be a minimum of 17 Years of Age at the time of admission.
4. There is no upper limit of age for applying.
5. All the candidates who are Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIS, PIOs & Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply for NEET UG 2026.
