The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 application form soon. The NEET UG 2026, conducted by the NTA, is expected to be held in May 2026. The NTA has issued instructions on January 5, 2026, on the updation of the Aadhaar Card, UDID Card, and Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) before filling the online application form for NEET UG 2026. The NEET UG 2026 Application Form can be filled out by entering the personal and educational details. Applicants should make sure that their Aadhaar Card is accurate, valid and updated in all respects. Candidates must ensure that their UDID Card and Category Certificate are updated and valid.
NEET UG 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria before applying for the NEET UG 2026. They can check out the criteria mentioned below.
- Candidates must be 17 years of age at the time they are taking admission.
- Candidates in the qualifying exam must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English subjects individually
- Candidates who belong to the general category should at least have scored a minimum of 50 per cent in the qualifying examination.
- On the other hand, candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backwards classes are required to attain a minimum score of 40 per cent in the qualifying examination.
- The candidates who belong to the general category, but are applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Quota, must have a minimum score of 45 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
It must be noted that there is no upper age limit for the NEET UG 2026. Previously, the age restriction for candidates of the general and reserved categories was 25 and 30 years, respectively.
