NEET PG Registration 2026 Started: Know how to apply, eligibility criteria, application fees

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has started the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test  Postgraduate (NEET-PG) from July 1, 2026. According to the official notification released by the NBEMS, candidates who are interested in applying for the NEET PG exam 2026 can register themselves through the official website of NBEMS. Candidates must know that the last date for NEET PG registration 2026 is July 21, 2026. Candidates will need to visit natboard.edu.in to apply for the NEET PG 2026. The NEET PG exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 30, 2026.

Candidates should go through the NEET PG 2026 eligibility criteria properly before completing the NEET PG Registration 2026. According to the official NEET PG schedule, the city intimation slip for the NEET PG exam 2026 will be released on August 11, 2026. The authorities are planning to declare the NEET PG result 2026 by September 30, 2026. NBEMS has clearly stated that the allocation of test cities or test centres for NEET-PG 2026 will not be on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates should apply as early as possible and are advised not to wait for the last date to register for the exam.

Medical candidates who wish to appear for the NEET PG exam 2026 can follow the simple steps mentioned below to register themselves for the NEET PG 2026 –

Step 1: Go to the official NBEMS website – natboard.edu.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “NEET PG Registration 2026 ” link 

Step 3: Provide your necessary details such as name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number to complete initial registration.

Step 4: Your User ID and password will be sent to the registered email and phone number

Step 5: Now you will have to log in using your credentials on the same portal.

Step 6: Once logged in, provide your essential personal and academic details

Step 7: Pay the NBE NEET PG application fee.

Step 8: Check all the added details and click on the submit button.

Candidates are advised to check all the details they are providing thoroughly before finally submitting the application form. 

NEET PG Exam 2026: Eligibility Criteria 

  • Candidates who wish to apply for the NEET PG 2026 exam are advised to check the eligibility criteria mentioned below before submitting the application form, as not fulfilling the eligibility criteria will result in cancellation of their candidature.
  • Those candidates who have an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate, as defined by the NMC Act of 2019 and the now-repealed Indian Medical Council Act of 1956, will be considered eligible.
  • Candidates must have either a permanent or provisional registration certificate for their MBBS qualification, and it should be issued by the NMC, the former Medical Council of India, or by the State Medical Council. 
  • To participate in the NEET PG exam, there is no age limit.
  • To be eligible to apply for NEET PG 2026, candidates must complete their required one-year rotatory internship by July 31, 2026.

The fee to apply for the NEET  PG exam has been reduced by Rs. 750 for all candidates. The revised fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs. 3,500, while for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs. 2,500.
