The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially extended the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 Counselling Round 1 deadline until further notice, citing the need to revise the seat matrix in the larger interest of candidates. Candidates eligible for Round 1 counselling now have additional time to register and submit their choices.
The first round of the NEET PG Counselling 2025 began on October 17, 2025. The MCC released a notification on November 6, 2025, confirming that the last date for registration, choice filling, and locking for Round 1 counselling has now been extended till further notice. The revised schedule for Round 1 seat allotment, reporting dates, and subsequent counselling rounds will be announced on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

NEET PG Counselling 2025 Seat Distribution
All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats based on their rank in NEET PG will be eligible for participation in the counselling process. There will be four rounds of AIQ counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round.

- 100% of seats in Deemed Universities and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses are included.

- The total number of seats includes MD, MS, Diploma, and DNB programmes.
