The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional NEET 2026 answer key for all the question papers on May 6, 2026. Candidates can now download the released NEET UG answer key through the official website of NTA – neet.nta.nic.in. NTA conducted the NEET Exam 2026 on May 3, 2026. With the release of the NEET 2026 Answer key, NTA will soon provide a chance to raise objections to the NEET answer key, once the scanned OMR or response sheets are issued online. Candidates will be required to provide supporting documents for their claims on objections. Candidates will need to pay a fixed fee to object to each question.
The NEET UG Exam 2026 was conducted in 551 cities in India, and in 14 cities abroad at more than 5,432 centres designated to conduct the exam. The exams were held in a single shift from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exams were held for approximately 22.79 lakh candidates. This year’s NEET UG question paper is being considered as balanced and moderately difficult by many experts and candidates. Experts also pointed out that while the paper was slightly easier in comparison to last year, this year it focused more on discipline, conceptual clarity, and time management rather than extreme difficulty. Those students who had strong fundamentals and who did consistent preparation, especially from NCERT, were at an advantage in the exam.

To download the published NEET UG answer key 2026, candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below.

NEET 2026: Steps to raise objections
As the provisional answer key has now been released on the official website, NTA will soon open the portal to raise objections to the official answer key. The schedule for the release of the scanned OMR sheet and challenge round will be released soon by NTA. Candidates can follow these steps to raise objections.
