UG Result 2025: Tie-Breaking Rules
In case two or more candidates appearing in the NEET UG Exam 2025 have equal scores or percentiles, the exam conducting authority will apply the tie-breaking rules, giving preference in the following order:
- Candidates who score higher marks/percentile in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test.
- If the tie persists, candidates who obtain higher marks/percentiles in Chemistry will be ranked higher.
- Candidates who score higher marks/percentile in Physics in the test.
- Candidates with a lower proportion of incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test.
- Candidates with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology.
- Candidates with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry.
- Candidates with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics.
- If the tie still exists, it will be resolved through a random selection process under the guidance of an independent expert committee.
