The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the examination time table for the National Defence Academy (NDA), Naval Academy (NA) and Combined Defence Services (CDS) on the official website. Those applicants who have applied for the NDA and NA exam 2026, must note that the exam is scheduled to be held on April 12, 2026, in two shifts. Whereas the CDS exam 2026 will also be conducted on April 12, 2026 as well and candidates will appear for three exams in different shifts.
The NA and NDA exam 2026, first shift exam will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM for the Mathematics subject, and the second shift exam will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM for General Ability Test. As for the CDS exam 2026 three exams will be held all in different shifts. The first shift will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in which English exam will take place, the second shift exam will start from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM for General Knowledge subject and lastly the third shift will be conducted from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for Elementary Mathematics subject.

The admit card for the CDS, NDA and NA exam 2026 will be released few days before the exam date in online mode on the official website.
UPSC NDA, NA and CDS 2026: Exam Pattern
Aspirants preparing for the NA and NDA exam 2026 should know the NA and NDA exam pattern 2026 properly. The NDA and NA exam will only consist of objective type questions. The questions asked in the exam will be in both English and Hindi language. The Mathematics subject carries 300 marks whereas the General Ability Test carries 600 marks and the total marks for the written stage is 900 marks.
The CDS exam pattern 2026 consists of three papers – English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics, the questions that will be asked in these exams will be objective type. All three of the papers carry 100 marks each and the General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics question paper will be set in both English and Hindi medium. Those candidates who will qualify the written stage will be called for the interview at one of the Services Selection Centres.
