The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has announced in its recently released notice that the conducting body has decided to offer a special two-day extension with late fees for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET 2026) Registration. The Online Registration and Confirmation of Application Form starts on March 19, 2026 and ends on March 20, 2026. Previously, the initial registration process for these examinations, including the extended deadline with late fees, concluded on February 27, 2026. Following the announcement of the examination dates, the Provisional Hall Ticket (Exam City Intimation Slip) is being released by the CET Cell as well. The tentative date for the 1st attempt is April 11, 2026, to April 26, 2026, while for the 2nd attempt it is May 10, 2026, to May 17, 2026.
The MHT CET 2026 Examination is scheduled to be conducted from March 24 to 17 May, 2026 for admission to various courses for the Academic Year 2026-27. To complete the MHT CET 2026 Registration, candidates need to pay a late fee of Rs 500 for all categories. The notice also mentions that the candidates who have not yet generated their APAAR ID are required to create one through Digi Locker. Once the Exam City Intimation Slip is downloaded, candidates are required to verify their examination centre details, including District and Taluka, and download their Final MHT CET 2026 Admit Card, which will be made available at least four days prior to the CET examination.

MHT CET 2026 Application Form: How to register?
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to complete the MHT CET 2026 Registration.
Step 1. Visit the official website.
Step 2. Select the “Registration” option, create a password for your account, and enter your personal information.
Step 3. To finish the registration procedure, click the “Submit” button.
Step 4. Now, use the login information provided during registration to access your account.
Step 5. Fill out the application form with the necessary login credentials.
Step 6. Upload the scanned copy of the required documents.
Step 7. Pay the application fees with a late fee of Rs 500.
Step 8. Once done with the aforementioned steps, click on the “Submit” button.
For the PCM/PCB CET group, the registration fee was Rs 1300 for the General Category and Rs 1000 for the Reserved Category. But it must be noted that those who register during this period will have to pay an additional late fee of Rs 500.
