The National Testing Agency (NTA) follows detailed steps and processes to compile the paper 1 (B.Tech) result for the JEE Main exam 2025. This process ensures that the candidate’s results are correct, fair and show the actual performance of the candidate in the examination. As the JEE Mains exam is conducted in different shifts, the NTA uses a normalisation process for checking the difficulty levels of questions in different sessions.
After the normalization process, the candidates’ answer sheets are assessed by the NTA. Before announcing the final JEE Main result, NTA will ensure that calculations are correct and there is no error in the candidate’s marksheet. For correct answers, candidates receive positive marks, and for wrong answers, there will be negative marking in the exam.
This process of compilation ensures that the candidate’s JEE Main result are fair and correct and that there will be no error in the scorecard.
