JEE Mains 2026 Objection Window Closing Today: Steps to raise objections, challenge fee

The JEE Main 2026 Objection Window is active at jeemain.nta.nic.in until today, February 6, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Candidates who want to raise objection must do so before the answer key challenge window closes.

The Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) 2026 Objection Window closes today, on February 6, 2026 (till 11:50 PM). Candidates who want to challenge the provisional answer key can find the direct link to do so on the official website of the National Testing Agency. They must visit jeemain.nta.nic.in for the same. The objection window went live on February 4, 2026. The answer key challenge fee is Rs 200 per objection, the same as last year.

The JEE Main 2026, conducted by the NTA, was scheduled to be conducted from January 21 to 29, 2026, for the January session. The JEE Main 2026 Answer Key was released on February 4, 2026. Along with the answer key, the NTA had also published the response sheet PDF. The provisional answer key is displayed for 2-3 days. Candidates were supposed to challenge the key within the stipulated time duration. 

JEE Mains 2026 Objection Window: How to challenge answer key?

Candidates have the provision to raise objections against the JEE Main 2026 answer key. The steps mentioned below can be followed to do so.

Step 1. Visit the official website of the JEE Mains 2026 – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2. Click on the JEE Main Answer Key 2026 link available on the homepage.

Step 3. Enter JEE Main Application ID, Password, and other required login credentials.

Step 4. Click on the Submit button.

Step 5. Now, again navigate to the section where the JEE Main Answer Key Objection link is available.

Step 6. Enter Question ID, Exam Date, and Shift Number to raise challenges.

Step 7. Give the substantial proof against the answer provided by NTA in its provisional key.

Step 8. Pay the JEE Main answer key challenge fee of INR 200 per question.

Step 9. Submit the Challenge.

Candidates must note that the fee is Rs 200 per objection.
