JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026: Not satisfied with session 1 scores? Apply now for a second attempt

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result on its official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in on February 16, 2026. Students who are disheartened with the percentile that they have received in the January session still have an opportunity to improve their score by registering for the second session of the exam. The JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026 window has been activated from February 01, 2026, for all aspirants to register online. The last date to apply is February 25, 2026, before 09:00 PM, with registration fee transactions allowed till 11:50 PM.  

The JEE Main Session 2 Exam 2026 will be conducted by NTA between April 2 and April 9, 2026, offline through Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in various cities across India. The exam will be conducted in different shifts, and the final score will be released after the normalisation process to ensure fairness. The city intimation slip and admit card will be released in due course, as mentioned in the JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026 notification. 

JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026: Steps to apply

All the students are advised to be careful about the JEE Mains Session 2 Registration last date, as no forms will be accepted after that. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to successfully fill out their JEE Main Session 2 application form 2026.

1. For new registration, go to the JEE Main Session 2 exam 2026 – jeemain.nta.nic.in.
2. On the homepage, tap on the active link titled as ‘JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026’ under the ‘New Candidate Registrations’ section.
3. Carefully go through all the instructions related to JEE Main 2026 Session 2 written on the page.
4. Submit all the details required and then create a password.
5. After you complete the new registration process, a unique application number will be assigned for future login.
6. Those who have completed their registration or those who already appeared in the first attempt can sign – in on the official website using the application number and password.
7. Note that the prefilled fields (information already taken from your registration form) will not be allowed to be edited.
8. Enter all your personal, academic, additional information as asked in the JEE Main Session 2 application form 2026.
9. Carefully check all your details before submitting them.
10. Submit all the required documents in the format suggested by the NTA.
11. Pay the JEE Main 2026 registration fee in the prescribed transaction method. The last JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026 date for fee submission is before 11:50 PM on February 25, 2026.
12. Click on ‘submit’.
13. Your JEE Main Session 2 Registration 2026 form will be submitted. 

Candidates should make sure that they fill in all accurate information and submit all authentic documents, as any discrepancy found in the application form would lead to its cancellation.
