The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the JEE Main Session 1 Answer Key 2026 today, February 4, 2026. The students who appeared for the JEE Main Session 1 exam 2026, which was conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and
28 January 2026 (Paper 1: B.E./B. Tech.) can now check their answers and calculate their estimated scores. The JEE Main Session 1 answer key 2026 has been released on its official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. Along with the answer key, the examination body has also released the question papers with the recorded responses.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their answers can raise objections against them. NTA has also opened the JEE Main 2026 answer key challenge window for the Session 1 exam. The objection window will be open till February 6, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. It is advised that applicants must raise any challenge against their answer key within the timeline, as any objection made by the applicant after the deadline will not be entertained by the examination body. Step 1: The first step is to visit the official JEE Main website – jeemain.nta.nic.in 

Step 2: Go to the homepage and click on the “JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Answer key” link

Step 3: The next step is to enter the application number and password and log in.

Step 4: Once all the credentials are filled in, candidates must fill in the captcha shown and click on submit.

Step 5: The last and final step is to download the PDF and save it for future reference.

Now the students will be able to see and analyse the answer key and access their performance. The students can be more mindful while checking the answer key, as they can also raise objections for the answers they feel are wrong. While accessing their performance, the students must make sure to follow the marking scheme released by the NTA.

After downloading and checking the answer key, the students can now raise objections against the answer they feel is wrong. Here are the steps on how the student can object:

Step 1: Visit the official JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Now, click on “Challenge JEE Main Session 1 Answer Key”.

Step 3: Log in using the application number and password.

Step 4: The question paper, along with the answer, will appear.

Step 5: Click on the question you want to challenge.

Step 6: Choose the answer that you find is correct, along with the proof in support of your chosen answer. 

Step 7: Now pay the fee for the number of answers you have objected to through any online mode. 

If the challenges made by the candidate are found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied to the responses of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Keys, the result will be prepared and declared.
