The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to commence the JEE Main 2026 registration process soon, officially opening a gateway for engineering aspirants across India. Candidates can apply online through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in, once the application forms are released. The application window for session 1 is expected to start in the Last week of October 2025. JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam is scheduled to be conducted between January 21, 2026, to January 30, 2026, testing candidates on subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The JEE Main 2026 registration for session 2 is expected to start from the last week of January 2026. The JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam is scheduled between April 1, 2026, to April 10, 2026. Aspiring engineers must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria set by NTA, which include having passed or appearing in class 12 with subjects such as physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The JEE Main 2026 registration process requires candidates to fill in personal and academic details, upload scanned photographs and signatures and pay the application fee online.

JEE Main Registration 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Only Candidates who fulfill the JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria are eligible for JEE Main 2026:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens. However, Foreign Nationals, NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin), and OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) are also eligible
- Candidates must have completed/ appearing in Class 12
- There is No Age Limit for appearing in the exam
- No minimum marks required in Class 12 to appear in JEE Mains
- Candidates can appear in JEE Mains for three consecutive years from the year of passing Class 12
