The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a formal notice on September 29, 2025, advising all aspirants of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 to update their documents before filling out the application form. According to the notice the JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions – January 2026 and April 2026. The application window for the JEE Main 2026 will be open in October 2025 for the candidates.
The exam conducting body has specified the list of required documents that must be updated beforehand to avoid any rejection at a later stage of JEE Main Registration 2026. These documents are-Aadhaar Card, UDID Card and Category Certificates. The authority will open the JEE Main registration link for a limited period only. Candidates can apply for either one or both sessions of the JEE Mains 2026 exam.

JEE Main 2026: Documents that need to be Updated
According to the latest NTA notice, students must ensure that the following documents are correct and updated:
- Aadhar Card: Details such as name, date of birth, photograph, address and father’s name should be accurate and up to date.
- Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card: UDID card should be valid, updated and renewed as required.
- Category Certificate: Candidates applying under EWS, SC, ST or OBC-NCL categories must have a valid and updated certificate.
