JEE Main 2026 Application Form Closing on November 27: Check image specifications & instructions for password

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the JEE Main 2026 Application Form last date is November 27, 2025, and no further extension will be provided in the registration deadline. Candidates still left to apply can visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in, and can register for the exam before November 27, by 9 PM. During registration, applicants need to upload documents with some specific instructions and create a password for their registered account. Here, we have brought a guide to explain the image specifications required for document uploading and instructions for creating a password as per the latest NTA’s procedure.

Once the JEE Main 2026 registration process is over, NTA will open a correction window from December 1 to 2, 2025, only for the registered candidates, so that they can make changes in their application form. Candidates are advised to carefully verify and modify their details, as once the correction window closes, candidates will not be allowed to make further changes to their application form. The JEE Main 2026 for session 1 exam is scheduled to be conducted between January 21 to 30, 2026.

JEE Main Registration 2026: Instructions to Create a Password

Given below are some of the important instructions related to JEE Main 2026 password:

  • While filling out the application form, candidates will be required to choose a password and a security question and its answers. 
  • Candidates are advised to remember their Password, so that in the future they can log in with it.
  • The password must be created on the following parameters: it should be 8 to 13 characters long, must have at least one upper case alphabet, one lower case alphabet, one numeric value, and lastly at least one special character.
  • Candidates must not disclose their Password to anybody; neither NIC nor NTA will be held responsible for the violation or misuse of the password of the candidate.
  • If any candidate wants to change their password, they can do it after login.
  • Candidates should remember to log out at the end of their session so that the particulars of the candidate cannot be modified by unauthorized persons.

Candidates can check the various methods on how to reset their password:

  1. With the help of security questions and answers filled during the form filling, candidates can reset their password.
  2. Verification code sent to the candidates’ registered mobile number via SMS can also help in resetting the password.
  3. Candidates can use a reset link sent via Email to their Registered Email address to reset the password.
