The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2026 and has released the information brochure at its official website – jee.adv.ac.in. The exam will be conducted on May 17, 2026. The exam centres list has been released with the information brochure. IIT Roorkee will conduct the exam in 321 cities in India and 2 cities outside India. However, Saharanpur has been removed from the IIT Roorkee zone from the exam cities list this year.
Candidates who have secured the top 2.5 lakh rank in JEE Mains 2026 will be able to register for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam by visiting the official portal. The registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will begin on April 23, 2026 and continue till May 2, 2026; only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be allowed to register for the same. The registration will be completed by the candidates by visiting the official website. As per the JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2026, there will be two papers: Paper I & Paper II. Candidates must appear for both papers, which will be conducted on the same day, and the duration for each paper is 3 hours.

JEE (Advanced) 2026 will be held in selected cities and towns in India and abroad. Candidates have to compulsorily choose 10 cities/towns of their choice at the time of online registration. They can refer to the list of exam cities (Pages 38 and 39) mentioned below.

JEE Advanced 2026 is for the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2026 qualifiers aiming for IIT engineering programs. The exam is conducted by 7 IITs – Bombay, Kharagpur, Delhi, Guwahati, Roorkee, Madras, and Kanpur – on a rotational basis.
