The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially opened the registration window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 today, September 5, 2025. Aspirants can now access the newly launched JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) via jam2026.iitb.ac.in to register for admission to postgraduate science programs across India. The last date to register is October 12, 2025.
IIT JAM exam 2026 will be held on February 15, 2026 to provide admission to the master’s degree and integrated PHD programmes in MSc and MS. The application form will be accepted by the exam officials when candidates pay the JAM 2026 registration fee online via debit card/credit card/ net banking or UPI payment gateway. IIT JAM 2026 admit card will be out on January 5, 2026.

JAM 2026 Exam Application Form – Steps To Apply
Candidates can check the given steps below to fill out the JAM 2026 application form:
Step 1: Register At JOAPS – First candidates have to register themselves at the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) by filling and submitting details such as name, email address, mobile number and password. Once candidates registered for the exam successfully, they were sent an email and SMS containing their enrollment ID. Candidates need to save the enrollment ID and therefore proceed to fill out the application form of IIT JAM 2026.
Step 2: Fill Details in IIT Application Form 2026- Candidates are needed to log into their accounts using their respective enrollment IDs and passwords. Thereafter the candidate had to start filling the information in their application form. Details that the candidates have to fill in their IIT JAM 2026 application form are: exam details, exam centre details, personal details, educational details, photographs and signature.
Step 3: Pay IIT JAM Application Fee- After the form is submitted, a new window would open that would display the name and enrollment ID of the candidate. The window will also display the amount to be paid by the candidate as the application fee. After checking these details, candidates need to click on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ button. Candidates can pay IIT JAM 2026 application fee in online mode through internet banking/ debit card/ credit card.
After the payment is made, a dialogue box will appear to confirm that the application form has been received successfully. Candidates need to complete all the steps to successfully submit their IIT JAM 2026 application form.
