The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared the result for the preliminary exam on September 26, 2025, on the official IBPS website. Candidates who appeared for the examination on August 17, 23 and 24, 2025, can now check their results by logging into ibps.in using their registration number, password, or date of birth. The result is available in the downloadable PDF format, displaying the roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified to proceed to the Mains Examination.
While the IBPS PO prelims stage is solely qualifying, clearing it opens the door to the mains examination which is scheduled to be held on October 12, 2025. Following the IBPS PO Prelims result announcement, IBPS will release the preliminary cut-off marks along with the scorecard, which will provide detailed and overall scores.

IBPS PO Mains 2025 Examination
Candidates shortlisted from the prelims are now eligible to appear for the IBPS PO Mains Examinations, which is scheduled to be conducted on October 12, 2025. The Mains exam is conducted for 225 marks. The tests carry four-objective type papers and one descriptive paper. The sections of the objective type paper are Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation.
