The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is set to announce the Customer Service Associates, popularly known as the IBPS Clerk, preliminary results 2025 on the official website, ibps.in. The IBPS Clerk Prelims exam was conducted on October 4, 5, and 11, 2025. Candidates who clear the preliminary examination will be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Mains 2025, to be held on November 29, 2025. The institute will also release the call letters for the main examination soon after the results for the prelims are declared on the official website.
Candidates can check their qualifying status for the IBPS Clerk main exam by logging into the official website ibps.in using their registration number and date of birth, or password. Candidates aspiring to join as a Customer Service Associate in any of the participating Public Sector Banks listed for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA -XV) for vacancies of 2026-27, have to clear the two-tier examination process, i.e, the Preliminary and Main. The institute will also release the IBPS Clerk Cut-off 2025 on its official website. It is important to note that the marks obtained in the IBPS Prelims scorecard will not be counted for the final merit; only the mains exam scores will be considered for final selection.
IBPS Clerk Exam 2025 Revised Vacancies
The institute has revised and increased the IBPS Clerk 2025 vacancies to a total of 13,533 positions, according to an official notification on October 27, 2025. This increase of over 3,200 posts, from the previous announcement, greatly improves the selection chances for candidates across various states.
Depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2026-27, based on the business needs of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on merit-cum-preference, keeping in view the Government Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative exigencies, etc.
The validity of the IBPS Clerk scorecard and allotment is for one year from the date of provisional allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier. Candidates are advised to plan their next plan of action based on the preliminary scorecard and their qualifying status.
A total of 279 vacancies have been announced in a revised notification dated October 27, 2025, by the participating banks in Delhi.
The centre, venue address, date and time for the IBPS Mains 2025 will be intimated in the IBPS Clerk Call Letter 2025.
Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner, etc, is not allowed inside the exam centre.
The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT should be proficient in (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) the specified/opted local language of that State/UT.
The participating banks in Chattisgarh offer a total of 298 seats indent for the year 2026-27.

While downloading their IBPS Clerk main examination admit card 2025, candidates need to enter their registration number and password/date of birth. Please note that no hard copy of the call letter will be sent via post/courier.
There will be a penalty for wrong answers in objective tests for both the Preliminary and Main examinations. For every wrong answer given by the candidate, 0.25 marks will be deducted. If the question is left blank, there will be no penalty for that question.
