The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati officially declared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 results on March 19, 2026 at the official website. Candidates can now access their normalized scores, All India Ranks (AIR), and qualifying status through the official GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. In addition to this, many PSUs are hiring more candidates than before. They are looking for engineers from more types of backgrounds to help build India’s infrastructure.
Beyond academic admissions to prestigious M.Tech and PhD programs at IITs and NITs, the GATE 2026 scorecard serves as a medium to some of the most prestigious “Maharatna” and “Navratna” companies. The cut-offs for core branches like Mechanical and Civil Engineering usually hover between 30 and 40 marks. However, the addition of newer PSUs and a higher volume of vacancies across various sectors provide a better opportunity for the candidates. Candidates are advised to download their official scorecards starting March 27, 2026, as these will be essential for the upcoming individual PSU application windows.
