GATE COAP Round 4 Counselling is scheduled to be conducted from June 5, 2025 to June 7, 2025. GATE counselling is held for those candidates who successfully qualified their GATE 2025 examination. GATE counselling is not conducted in a single centralized platform, instead it is conducted on two different processes. Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and CCMT.

Once all rounds of counselling are completed, the authority will also release the opening and closing ranks. On the basis of these ranks, candidates will get admission in the institutes. In round 4, candidates are allowed to select one option between “Accept and Freeze, Retail and Wait and Reject”. GATE COAP Round 4 Counselling 2025 Schedule Date
The COAP round 4 counselling date has been released by the authority, candidates who qualified in their GATE exam 2025 are eligible for the round 4 examination. The GATE round 4 counselling dates are June 5, 2025 to June 8, 2025. Check the GATE COAP 2025 counselling date in the below table.

GATE COAP Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the below points to know the eligibility criteria of the GATE COAP counselling process.
- To participate in the GATE COAP counselling 2025, candidates must have their GATE score of the previous three years – 2023, 2024, 2025.
- If candidates have multiple GATE scores then they must use the highest score for registration but they will need to fill in details of all available scores during the registration process.
- Candidates who have multiple GATE 2025 scores on different papers must submit separate information for each paper. Additionally, candidates also will have to meet the eligibility criteria of the institute they are applying to.
GATE COAP Counselling 2025: Option Offers
In the GATE COAP option filling process, candidates will have to select one option between “Accept and Freeze, Retail and Wait and Reject”. But in the decisive round (Round 5), candidates will only be allowed to choose between “Accept & Freeze” and “Reject.”
- *No “Retain & Wait” option for the 3rd time, if the candidate has chosen “Retain & Wait” on the same (same Institute & Same Program) offer twice in two earlier rounds.
- Candidates can select the “Accept and Freeze” option, if they want to accept the offer.
- Candidates can select the “Retain and Wait” option if they want to accept the present option but also want to wait for other better offers in next rounds. If any other option comes in the future then the present offer will be removed.
- If candidates do not want to choose any option from this round and still want to wait for the better offer in the next round then they can select “ ‘reject all and wait’.
