The National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon going to close the Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET UG) application form 2026. The CUET UG Application Form 2026 went live on January 3, 2026 and the last date to submit the application form is January 30, 2026. Candidates who wish to apply for CUET UG 2026 must do so before the said date. The direct link for the application is active at cuet.nta.nic.in. The CUET UG application fee is Rs 1000 for the general category.
The CUET UG 2026 is an exam conducted by the NTA at the national level for admission to undergraduate programmes at different central universities and other institutions. The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted between May 11 to 31, 2026 (tentatively). Candidates must fill out the CUET UG Application Form 2026 before the deadline, that is, January 30, 2026. The registered candidates can pay the CUET UG application fee 2026 by January 31, 2026 up to 11:50 PM. They must fill out educational and personal details, as well as upload the scanned copies of the required documents. It must be noted that if candidates fill out any wrong information, their candidature will be rejected.
CUET UG Application Form 2026: How to apply?
CUET UG 2026 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the CUET UG Application Form 2026.
Step 1. Go to the official website at cuet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2. Now on the homepage, candidates need to click on the link named “CUET registration 2026”.
Step 3. The next step is registering for the exam by filling in the credentials.
Step 4. Log in using the new registration ID and password that is sent to the registered mobile or email.
Step 5. Once candidates have filled all the information, the next step is to pay the registration fee.
Step 6. Click on the ‘Submit’ button once paid the application fee.
Step 7. Now the last step for candidates is to download the confirmation slip.
Candidates are advised to keep their Class 10th and 12th marksheets, passport-size photograph, ID proof, and caste certificate (if applicable).

Candidates must satisfy the CUET UG 2026 Eligibility Criteria to appear for the exam. They can check out the criteria listed below.
- There is no minimum or maximum age to take the CUET Exam 2026.
- Candidates must have passed the Class 10+2 or equivalent examination. Students taking the Class 12th board examination can apply for the exam as well. However, at the time of counselling, they would need to present the passing certificate.
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen. Students of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible for the CUET UG exam 2026. Refugees from Tibet who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, and intended to settle permanently are eligible as well.
- There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can take.
- Candidates must verify their eligibility by referring to the official websites of the respective Universities/Institutions.
