The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 answer key today, June 9, 2026, on its official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. Along with the provisional answer key, the NTA has also released the candidates’ response sheet. Candidates who appeared for the CUET UG exam 2026 can download the provisional answer key from the official portal. The CUET UG 2026 exam was conducted from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026; however, for 3,765 candidates, the exam scheduled on May 30 was rescheduled to June 6 and June 7 due to some technical glitches at the examination centre.
Candidates are advised to download the CUET UG 2026 Answer Key as soon as possible, as downloading it early will provide a window to raise objections to the CUET UG provisional answer key. The candidates, who are not satisfied with the CUET UG Provisional answer key, may challenge the same by paying a fee of Rs. 200 per question challenged as a non- refundable processing fee. The challenge window will remain open till June 11, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Candidates must note that the answer key released is provisional in nature, and the final answer will be released by the NTA after scrutinising all the objections raised by the candidates.
CUET UG 2026 Answer Key: Steps to Download the Answer Key
Candidates are advised to follow the steps mentioned below to download the CUET UG 2026 provisional answer key via the official website.
Step 1- Visit the official website of NTA – cuet.nta.nic.in
Step 2- Now you have to click on the tab ‘CUET UG 2026 Provisional Key’
Step 3- Candidates need to provide their login details, such as Application Number and Password
Step 4- After submitting the details, the student’s dashboard will appear.
Step 5- Click on the subject to download the answer key.
Candidates should also download their response sheets to match them with the answer key so that they can calculate their scores.
CUET UG Provisional Answer Key 2026: Marking scheme
Candidates are awarded five marks for each correct answer. There is a negative mark of one mark for each incorrect answer. No marks will be given for the unanswered or marked for review questions. If more than one option is found to be correct, then five marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. If all options are found to be correct, then five marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
