The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the registration and examination dates for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG), 2025. The registration for CUET begins on March 1, 2025, for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for Academic Session 2025-26. Candidates must apply online and meet the eligibility criteria for the CUET 2025 exam. The detailed datesheet for the exams is available on NTA’s official website – cuet.nta.nic.in. The CUET exam date is May 8, 2025 to June 1, 2025.
CUET application form 2025 will be closed on March 22, 2025. The exam will be completely conducted in CBT mode. The exam will be held on multiple days in two or three shifts, depending on the number of candidates and subject choices. The organizing body will conduct exams for 37 subjects including 13 languages, 23 domain-specific and 1 general aptitude test. Candidates can select any 5 subjects of their choice, however it is advisable to select at least one language.
The medium of the CUET UG exam 2025 is in 13 different languages. As the eligibility criteria for admission may be different for every University, candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programmes. CUET UG Exam 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
For appearing in the CUET 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates must have passed the class 12/ equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age to appear in the CUET exam 2025. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University/ Institutions/ Organisations in which they are interested in taking admission.
CUET 2025 Exam – Is there any change in CUET exam pattern?
As per the UGC Chief, M. Jagdish Kumar, the exam pattern for CUET 2025 UG will provide an equal and fair opportunity to each and every candidate. Students are required to take tests only in their domain subject in their chosen language. The exam paper will consist of 50 questions in which all the questions will be mandatory to attempt. The duration of the CUET UG 2025 paper will be 60 minutes. Also, there will be negative marking for wrong answers.
