CSIR NET Exam 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR NET notification on June 3, 2025. According to the official notification, the CSIR NET June 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 26, 27, and 28, 2025. The official website to download the notification and information bulletin is csirnet.nta.ac.in. Along with the exam notification, the exam-conducting body has also released the registration form.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) stipulates the CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2025 for the June session in its official notification. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the CSIR NET exam. NTA has revised the CSIR NET 2025 eligibility criteria by increasing the upper age limit for JRF to 30 years.
Candidates are advised to submit their application form within the time specified by NTA. The last date to submit the CSIR NET application form is June 23, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM). Once candidates complete their registration, the NTA will also release the CSIR NET admit card 2025.

- Go to the official website – csirnet.nta.ac.in, and select the “New Registration” option.
- Fill in your basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID to register.
- Log in with your application number and password to get the application form.
- Enter your personal, academic, and contact information, and choose your subject and preferred examination center.
- Upload the required documents in the specified format and size.
- Pay the application fee via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Save and keep the confirmation page secure for future use.
CSIR NET Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the CSIR NET 2025 exam, candidates must meet certain educational and age requirements.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates who want to apply for the CSIR NET exam 2025 must have a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, or Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences from a recognized university. Candidates from General and OBC category must have 55% and candidates from ST/SC/PwD must have 50% to qualify the exam.
Final year students can apply for the examination but they must complete their degree within 2 years to get JRF.
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 30 years, with the age relaxation of 5 years (SC/ST/PwD) and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). There is no age limit for Lectureship/Assistant Professor.
