The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced today, June 19, 2026, as the last day to register for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2026 exam. NTA had released the CSIR NET 2026 application form on May 27, 2026, on the official website – csirnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates are advised to complete their registration by today, before 11:50 PM, after which the registration window will close. To complete the registration process, candidates have to pay the registration fee online through the payment gateway using Debit/Credit Cards or Net Banking. Candidates can pay their online application fee till June 20, 2026.
Once the registration process is over, NTA will open the CSIR NET 2026 application correction window from June 22 to 23, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. The CSIR NET 2026 exam will be held on July 17 and 18, 2026. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the CSIR NET exam 2026 before registering for the CSIR NET 2026 exam. Candidates must ensure to pay the application fee along with the registration form online. Only those candidates who have submitted the registration form will be eligible to receive their CSIR NET 2026 Admit Card.

CSIR NET 2026: Eligibility Criteria for Applying
Candidates should thoroughly read the following CSIR NET Eligibility criteria 2026 before applying for the CSIR NET June session examination 2026:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The maximum age limit to apply for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 30 years.
- However, candidates belonging to the Third Gender, OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/ Person with Disability (PwD) categories will be allowed a relaxation of 5 years.
- Female candidates will also be allowed a relaxation of 5 years.
- There is no upper age limit in applying for the Joint CSIR UGC-NET for Assistant Professor/admission to PhD.
Candidates must complete their CSIR NET 2026 registration process before the deadline to be eligible for the examination. Once the application window closes, it will not be reopened.
