The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) initiated the Category Restoration process for CSAB Special Round Counselling 2025 from July 24, 2025. Special Round 1 will start online registration and choice filling on July 30, 2025 and will close on August 3, 2025. The two special rounds are being conducted to fill more than 7,000 vacant B.Tech/B.E. seats available across the NITs, IIIT, and GFTIs that were remaining unfilled from JoSAA counselling. All candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2025 and did not get a seat, or submitted their reply choice due to dissatisfaction, are eligible. CSAB Special Round Counselling 2025: How to Register
Access csab.nic.in from July 30, 2025. Use the JEE Main 2025 application number and password to log in (or use the JANPARICHAY option, which will be your email). Candidates need to complete the fresh registration and pay the Special Round Enrolment Fee. Given below is a step-by-step guide on how to register for CSAB 2025:
- Visit the official website: csab.nic.in
- Click on the “CSAB Special Round 2025 Registration” link
- Candidates need to log in using their JEE Main 2025 Application Number and Password, or JANPARICHAY (for personal email-linked JEE accounts)
- Candidates must fill in the registration form with personal and academic details
- Pay the Special Round Participation Fee online
- Candidates have to upload necessary documents like JEE Main 2025 Scorecard, Class 12 marksheet and Category certificate (if applicable), etc.
- Fill in and lock your choices of institutes and branches.
- Download and save the confirmation page for future reference
