The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CMAT result 2026 on February 17, 2026, on the official website. Candidates who appeared for the CMAT exam 2026, conducted on January 25, 2026, in a single shift in 110 cities at 259 exam centers across the country, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, can now download their CMAT result 2026 from the official portal – cmat.nta.nic.in. The CMAT result 2026 is released in a scorecard format, and candidates can access their result by entering their application number, password, and security pin.

The CMAT 2026 scorecard contains important details such as the section-wise scores, percentile, and all-India rank, which are important for students to get admissions into B-schools in India. A total of 53,453 candidates registered for the CMAT exam 2026, and out of these, 41,872 applicants actually appeared for the exam. Now that the CMAT result 2026 is out, admission for the management courses will begin for this session. Apart from the CMAT result 2026, the colleges can have their own procedure for admission and may include Writing Aptitude Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Also, the CMAT 2026 cut-off for each college is released individually, and the requirements are also different.

Step 2: The next step is to go to the homepage and click on the link indicating “CMAT 2026 Result”.

Step 3: Now, enter the details like application number, password, and security pin to access the scorecard.

Step 4: The CMAT 2026 scorecard will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: The last and final step is to download the result and save it for future reference.

To keep the process transparent, NTA released the CMAT provisional answer key 2026 on January 31, 2026, and also provided an opportunity to candidates to raise objections against the answer key till February 2, 2026. The objections raised by the applicants were reviewed by the subject experts, and the CMAT result 2026 was prepared based on the CMAT 2026 final answer key, which was declared by the NTA on the official website on February 17, 2026.

CMAT Result 2026: Admission Procedure of Colleges

Every college has a different admission process, so here are some of the colleges’ admission procedures:

  •  Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai – After the results are out, the candidates are invited for the personal assessment examination, and a separate merit list is produced by them.
  • K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research (KJSIMSR), Mumbai – The institute has a 3-step procedure, which includes WAT (Written Ability Test), Problem Situation Analysis (PSA), and a personal in-depth interview. The candidate will be selected for the merit position, and according to the availability of the seats.
  • XISS Ranchi – Its further procedure after the CMAT result is followed by the Group Discussion (GD) round and Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS), Bangalore – After the CMAT result is declared, the student will have to give the ABBSSAT Exam, and then there is a Personal Interview (PI) round.

CMAT 2026 Result: What’s Next?

After the student has downloaded the CMAT result 2026, they can apply individually to colleges that accept the CMAT score. Based on the CMAT score, students will be selected for the next rounds. The further rounds can be as follows: 

  • WAT (Writing Aptitude Test)
  • GD (Group Discussion)
  • PI (Personal Interview)
