CLAT Registration 2026 Started: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU) has started the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. The registration for CLAT 2026 begins today, i.e., August 01, 2025. The form for CLAT 2026 registration has been made live by the authority on the official website of Consortium of NLUs – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Interested candidates can visit the official website to register for CLAT 2026. The CLAT 2026 registration form will be accessible till October 31, 2025. Candidates will be able to register for 26 NLUs and 60+ affiliated colleges. The CLAT 2026 exam is scheduled on December 07, 2025.

Candidates can visit the official website, or they can access the direct link given below to register and follow the given guide to avoid any kind of mistake:

  • Search for the official website of the Consortium of National Law Universities.
  • Click on the link titled ‘CLAT 2026 Registration’.
  • Register yourself using your mobile number and email ID.
  • After successful registration, login using the credentials sent to your registered email ID.
  • Enter all the required details in the designated space provided.
  • Upload the documents:
    • Passport-sized photograph
    • Signature
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
    • And other documents as per the requirement

CLAT 2026 Registration: Eligibility

The eligibility criteria to take CLAT 2026 are set by the Consortium of National Law Universities, which sets the framework for admissions to 26 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. For the Undergraduate (UG) 5-year LLB program, the eligibility is that candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks for General/OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Students who are appearing for their Class 12 examination in 2026 can also apply for the UG exam. The eligibility criteria for the Postgraduate (PG) LLM program are a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree with 50% marks (General category), or 45% marks (SC/ST). There is no upper age limit for both UG and PG exams.
