CLAT 2026 Registration: Eligibility
The eligibility criteria to take CLAT 2026 are set by the Consortium of National Law Universities, which sets the framework for admissions to 26 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. For the Undergraduate (UG) 5-year LLB program, the eligibility is that candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks for General/OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Students who are appearing for their Class 12 examination in 2026 can also apply for the UG exam. The eligibility criteria for the Postgraduate (PG) LLM program are a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree with 50% marks (General category), or 45% marks (SC/ST). There is no upper age limit for both UG and PG exams.
